About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Services Manager to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role is responsible for driving operational security excellence within Data Centers, collaborating with partner teams and leaders. The manager will oversee communications, provide services, and suggest improvements for electronic surveillance and access controls. They will also be responsible for writing and implementing security processes and procedures, and extracting metrics to monitor improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking. This role requires the ability to understand and apply physical security principles in a practical, real-world setting, with a proven track record in operations room/center dispatching, data center security operations, physical security, and customer service, along with multitasking abilities.

Requirements

• Experience with physical security best practices which includes the application of physical security systems, investigation techniques and management of contract security guards.
• 1+ years' experience in an operations center, control room environment, or technical support experience.
• 2+ years' experience with intrusion detection (alarm systems) and with video monitoring systems (CCTV).

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a chat queue, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide support to customers.
• Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.
• Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.
• Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
• Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
• Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.
