About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for our Electrophysiology department. This role involves providing comprehensive care and treatment to patients under the guidance of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibilities include patient assessment, initiating and evaluating diagnostic tests, documenting findings, and formulating treatment plans and prognoses. The APRN will obtain health histories, perform physical examinations, identify patient problems, establish goals, and create comprehensive plans of care, including teaching preventive health measures. This role also functions as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration among various disciplines and agencies. A commitment to demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all patient interactions is essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing
  • National Nurse Practitioner Certification in appropriate specialty area (Nurse Practitioner by a national certifying organization recognized by the Board of Nursing in the state where work is being performed)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensed as an RN in the state where work is being performed
  • Requires Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician to practice as a nurse practitioner
  • Must have medical staff privileges as an allied health professional
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge as a Nurse Practitioner in area of expertise
  • 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
