Whether you are just starting your career or in need of a challenge, we recognize, develop, and empower talent! The Advanced Manufacturing & Quality Engineer develops, implements, and sustains quality systems to ensure Hydro Flask products meet customer expectations for safety, durability, and performance. This role supports both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining production across a global supplier base, applying structured problem-solving, quality planning, and data analysis to improve cost, quality, and delivery. Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and suppliers to embed manufacturing quality from concept through launch. Support Technical Reviews, Manufacturing Builds, and Pilot Builds. Define and validate Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics and provide early-stage DFX feedback. Support quality and manufacturing planning activities, including development of DFMEAs, PFMEAs, control plans, inspection standards, and robust measurement systems. Lead and manage PPAP submissions, ensuring supplier compliance, process capability validation, and on-time documentation delivery. Collaborate with overseas engineering teams and suppliers to review, approve, track, and maintain PPAP documentation across NPI and sustaining products. Develop and maintain a PPAP tracker to manage maturity levels across products and factories; elevate legacy programs to required PPAP standards. Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure robust incoming, in-process, and final inspection control plans. Identify gaps in current AQME systems and implement improvements to drive consistency, efficiency, and enforceability. Drive continuous improvement using supplier feedback to address recurring issues and implement process enhancements that improve manufacturability, cost, quality, and throughput. Support production issues as needed, providing structured problem-solving and corrective actions. Support validation and qualification of new or additional toolsets, ensuring dimensional, capability, and performance alignment with existing tooling. Identify manufacturing improvement opportunities related to cycle time, quality, throughput, automation, and NRE investments. Support qualification of dual-sourced production and onboarding of new suppliers in alignment with Hydro Flask quality standards. Own manufacturing process specifications and ensure accurate cross-functional communication and rollout of updates across all suppliers and facilities. Develop new process specifications and coordinate testing activities as required. Drive ECR/ECO/ECN execution for manufacturing and process changes, including alignment, implementation planning, documentation, and rollout. Provide feedback to continuously improve Engineering Change mechanisms and cross-functional collaboration.
