Requirements

  • Seeking Hospitalist physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • 12-hour shift, 7p-7a.

Nice To Haves

  • Current national certification, DEA, and ACLS are preferred.
  • Previous hospitalist/inpatient experience is preferred.
  • Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired.
  • Current VA state license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for nursing staff for adult inpatient needs during the overnight shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • Respond to urgent clinical situations, including bedside assessments as needed.
  • Assist with overnight admissions (typically 0–1 per night).
  • Provide cross-coverage for approximately 100–130 adult inpatients.
  • No ICU responsibilities.
