Under general supervision, the Advanced Practitioner Outpatient - CRNP - Pain Management is accountable for the clinical management of patients. This role requires a high level of analytical ability for assessing patients and implementing appropriate interventions, as well as substantial interpersonal skills for effective interaction with staff, physicians, patients, and family members. The position involves managing patients in assigned areas, performing initial history and physicals, writing standard orders, and collaborating with attending physicians and nursing staff on patient care plans. The role also includes evaluating patient progress, identifying needs, initiating referrals, documenting findings and treatment plans, and performing technical functions as delegated. Additionally, the practitioner will act as a clinical resource, support performance improvement initiatives, and engage in patient and family education regarding preventative care and current medical conditions. Educational advancement and participation in mandatory inservices are expected.
