The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides primary and/or urgent care medical services within the scope of licensure, education, training, national certification, and applicable Texas law. The APRN functions as the primary onsite clinical provider in the Campus Clinic and practices pursuant to a Prescriptive Authority Agreement (PAA) with the Delegating Physician in accordance with Texas Occupations Code Chapter 157 and applicable rules of the Texas Medical Board and Texas Board of Nursing. The APRN collaborates with the Delegating Physician regarding patient management, referral decisions, quality assurance activities, prescribing practices, and clinical protocols. The APRN supervises onsite clinical workflow involving nursing and administrative support staff. The candidate must be a professing Christ follower who possesses a strong commitment to the mission and core values of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College, possess a clear understanding of Southern Baptist heritage and culture, and agrees to serve in accordance with and not contrary to the current edition of the Baptist Faith and Message. Southwestern Seminary, an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, is a confessional institution.
