This role is defined by clinical autonomy, advanced decision-making, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. You will assess, diagnose, and treat complex medical conditions while promoting wellness, preventing injury, and supporting long-term health outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Kansas
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Primary care background with the ability to provide preventative care and treat acute conditions across a broad range
  • Experience working in hospital or similar clinical settings preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
  • Advanced clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice and pharmacology
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including health history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide preventative care and health education to clients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Make referrals to specialty providers as needed
  • Participate in on-call coverage as required
  • Serve as a clinical leader and role model for peers
