This role is defined by clinical autonomy, advanced decision-making, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. You will assess, diagnose, and treat complex medical conditions while promoting wellness, preventing injury, and supporting long-term health outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Kansas
- Board certified or board eligible
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Primary care background with the ability to provide preventative care and treat acute conditions across a broad range
- Experience working in hospital or similar clinical settings preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Advanced clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Expertise in evidence-based practice and pharmacology
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including health history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
- Provide preventative care and health education to clients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Make referrals to specialty providers as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
- Serve as a clinical leader and role model for peers
