About The Position

St. Luke’s Surgical Center, Inc. in Tarpon Springs, Florida, is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide care in its growing practice. The role focuses on assessing whether patients are suitable for outpatient surgery, preparing them for surgery, creating a safe and effective care environment, and promoting health and well-being. Requirements

Licensed, or able to obtain licensure, to practice in the state of Florida.
Available to work part-time Monday through Friday with a 7 a.m. start time.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
Knowledge of EHR, Excel, and Word documents.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to maintain discretion, accuracy, and confidentiality with all patients.
Must be able to frequently stand, sit, and walk.
Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Ophthalmology experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery.
Verify patient information by interviewing patients, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
Perform physical exams to determine patient eligibility for outpatient surgery.
Educate patients as needed.
Complete records by documenting patient examinations, treatment, and test results.
