About The Position

Provides primary and/or specialty care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician(s) in the hospital setting, physician office setting, or both.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved advanced practice nurse program.
Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri.
BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

Three years experience as an advanced practice nurse preferred.
Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of medical terminology and examination, diagnostics and treatment room procedures.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations.
Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions.
Ability to learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.
