About The Position

HSHS Medical Group is offering a $25,000 sign-on bonus for a BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology team in Decatur, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System. This is a well-established, growing practice with a strong reputation within the Decatur community. The role involves managing patients across the care continuum and working with the latest and most advanced technologies and treatments, with a focus on patient-centered, holistic care.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
  • BC/BE
  • Master’s degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of provider work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred, but experience in other specialties will also be considered.
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
  • Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
  • Federal DEA license is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
