Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APN)
About The Position
Tryfacta is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APN) for our client in Trenton, NJ 08628. This is a temporary contract assignment. The position involves seeing patients weekly and more often as needed on general units, with daily rounds on admission and intensive treatment units. PMHNPs will share caseloads with psychiatrists and work collaboratively under a collaboration agreement. They will not be responsible for admissions, court appearances, or seclusions/restraints. The role includes rounding on patients, completing progress notes, and discharge summaries to support psychiatrists with court-ordered evaluations. Typical cases involve state hospital forensic patients, with adults being the primary age group. Each unit has approximately 25 patients seen weekly, with potential for additional patients based on staffing needs. Providers may cross-cover and unit assignments can change.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted license/certification as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with specialization in Psychiatry.
- Willingness to sign a collaborative agreement specifying that it will work with a licensed Psychiatrist to perform the duties outlined in the APRN license/certification.
