About The Position
UW Medical Centers has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team. The APP will provide exceptional, evidence-based advanced practice medical care to high-risk and well newborns and their families.
Requirements
- Current, valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
- Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License
- ARNP: Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- PA: National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Master’s degree from an accredited program
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an NNP or PA in a Level III NICU
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist
- Function independently within scope of practice
- Ensure continuity of care for neonatal patients and families
- Bill for services rendered, as appropriate to role
- Support and educate residents
- Train and onboard new Advanced Practice Providers in neonatal care
- Collaborate with nursing leadership
- Promote professional development of Neonatal APPs
- Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Neonatal APPs
Benefits
- Night shift differential $4.50/hr.
- Evening shift differential $2.50/hr.
- Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr.
