About The Position
Southwest Virginia Cardiology, an AlignedCardio partner, is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing cardiovascular team in the beautiful Roanoke area. This clinic-based role offers the chance to care for a diverse patient population with cardiovascular disease while working alongside an experienced cardiologist and fellow APP in a highly supportive environment. Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
- Current certification through ANCC or AANP
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Commitment to maintaining all licensure and credentials in good standing
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of cardiology, emergency medicine, or critical care experience preferred
- Strong internal medicine experience will also be considered
- New graduates with significant emergency or critical care backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans including: Diagnostic testing and imaging, Medical therapies, Interventions and specialist referrals, Patient education and preventative care
- Practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with the physician and APP colleague
- Build meaningful relationships with patients while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
