Head & Neck Surgery (Oncology)- Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant- Piedmont Newnan
About The Position
Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join the ENT / Head and Neck Surgery surgical service line team at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The role focuses on head and neck cancer surgery and includes work in clinic and the hospital. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week, with alternating weekend call responsibilities. The Advanced Practice Provider will provide patient care, assist with clinical procedures, manage postoperative and critically ill patients, and apply specialized skills in the care of patients with head and neck cancer. The role also contributes to patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and organizational leadership.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification; or be a licensed nurse approved to practice as a nurse practitioner in Georgia with national certification.
Responsibilities
- See patients in clinic and assist with clinical procedures.
- Round on patients in the hospital.
- Assist in the management of postoperative and critically ill hospital patients.
- Evaluate postoperative patients in clinic.
- Apply specialized skills to care for patients with head and neck cancer.
- Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and organizational leadership.
- Participate in alternating weekend call responsibilities.
