Advanced Practice Provider | Ophthalmic Oncology Surgery Service
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to provide comprehensive care to patients in our Ophthalmic Oncology Surgery Service, meeting the medical and psychosocial needs of both pediatric and adult patients. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate closely with top physicians and healthcare professionals, providing pre- and post-operative care in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings. You’ll also be instrumental in implementing patient education and clinical support programs that ensure a seamless continuum of care. If you’re a PA or NP with RNFA certification, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your impact in the OR as well. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- ALS certification
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and Family Nurse Practitioner licenses/registrations.
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- Related National NP certification
- Strong decision-making skills with a track record of making timely, impactful choices that drive the organization forward
- Skilled at navigating complex and sometimes conflicting information to make informed decisions
- Proficient in planning and prioritizing tasks to meet commitments that align with organizational objectives
- Effective in gaining support and building consensus by engaging others around your ideas and priorities
- Adaptable and flexible, able to adjust your approach to meet the evolving demands of changing situations
