About The Position
Riverside Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and dual-certified Advanced Practice Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center in Hampton, Virginia. This full-time role consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, with no on-call responsibilities. The provider will focus on psychiatric emergency care, including crisis intervention and potential inpatient psychiatric admissions. Requirements
- Master’s in Nursing, current NP license, and board certification (FNP & PMHNP) for Nurse Practitioner
- Master’s degree and current PA license for Physician Assistant
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Independent clinical decision-making
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric and medical conditions
- Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer literacy
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education and counseling
