About The Position

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the internal medicine team located at the UH Willoughby practice. The APP will have their own panel of patients including follow-up patients, established patients, and same-day sick visits, and will work with providers on overflow. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. APP outpatient experience is preferred. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a PA as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
  • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
  • 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
  • Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
  • Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
  • Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
  • Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Current APRN License (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • APP outpatient experience preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
