About The Position

In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals in an acute care setting, including physicians and team members, and deliver comprehensive care to Pediatric ICU patients, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS, PALS OR Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required
  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred
  • 1+ years of prior clinical experience in a PICU

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with physicians, healthcare team members, surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
  • Provide thorough and holistic care to pre-surgical testing patients, addressing their medical needs and ensuring they are prepared for surgery.
  • Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, gathering essential information to inform treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
