Established team of physicians and advanced practitioners serving Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities Level IV Trauma Center, high functioning Emergency Medicine Physician in the department at all times 21 Bed Emergency Department ED Physician coverage 24/7 Life Flight 24/7 Cardiac Cath Services 24/7 Hospitalist Program 24/7 Radiology Services Support Staff: RN’s, Charge Nurse, ED Technicians, Behavioral Health Coordinator, Respiratory Therapy, CRNA, Blank Pediatric Provider & Care Coordinator Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination New fully equipped Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Experience preferred
• Board Certified Provider experience preferred; prior Emergency Medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Part-time employment with benefits
• .6 FTE = 1152 hours per year or 8 shifts per month
• 12-hour shifts 9a-9p or 1p - 1a
• 1:3 weekend rotation
• Average # of patients/day = 60
• Annual visit volume = 20,000
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
