Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Riverside Primary Care Hidenwood in Newport News, Virginia. As part of our expanding primary care network, we are recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Masters in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Masters Degree (for Physician Assistant)
  • State of Virginia Nurse Practitioner License
  • State of Virginia Physician Assistant License
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license with a specialty designation aligned to inpatient care
  • National NP certification in the appropriate specialty: Family NP- FNP-BC or FNP-C
  • Active and unrestricted Virginia PA license
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Active DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Eligibility for Schedule II–VI prescriptive authority in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Current BLS and ACLS (required for inpatient clinical settings)
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care
  • Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
  • Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies
  • Performs thorough physical examinations and assessments
  • Assessment of health status
  • Formulate patient care plans
  • Performing Pulmonology consultations
  • Provides counseling to patients about their care
  • Prescribe tests and treatments / analyze the tests and treatments
  • Document findings
