About The Position

On an as-needed basis, this Advanced Practice Provider will join Cedar City Hospital Labor & Delivery, supporting patients in Cedar City, Utah. We provide comprehensive obstetric care for women, with a particular emphasis on wellness and patient choice. We support women in their childbirth decisions and experience. This APP's primary function will be to provide first assist surgical support for c-sections. This is a PRN opportunity, with variable hours worked based on patient care needs and the APP's availability. Prior surgical experience is highly valued.

Requirements

• Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Midwife (CNM)
• Certification as a Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
• Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V
• Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Nice To Haves

• Prior surgical experience is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation
• Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems
• Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others
• Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan
• Consultation with other healthcare providers
• Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care
