About The Position
Sleep APP opportunity available with Carilion Clinic. This role involves providing advanced practice provider services within the specialty practice of Sleep Medicine. The position is full-time, with day/evening shifts. The facility is located at 2900 Lamb Cir - Christiansburg.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Nurse Practitioners must also hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- Must be eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer systems required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Additional experience may be required based on specialty.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required as appropriate to the position.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced practice provider services within the specialty practice of Sleep Medicine.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or Nursing, and applicable certifying bodies.
- Meet practice and managed care credentialing requirements and qualify for malpractice insurance coverage.
- Utilize electronic medical records and standard computer systems.
