About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their West St. Paul Primary Care Clinic team. This clinic offers outpatient services to patients from infancy through adolescence, providing a range of care from well-child check-ups to managing acute and chronic illnesses. The clinic also offers wrap-around services such as Integrated Behavioral Health, interpreter services, and access to Adolescent Health and Gender health providers, supported by resource navigators through the Community Connect program. The clinic sees 10,000 – 11,000 visits annually and is staffed by 4 pediatricians and 2 advanced practice providers. Requirements

  • Current MN RN/APRN License (for APRN).
  • Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) (for APRN).
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (for PA).
  • Physician Assistant Certification by the NCCPA Certification Board (for PA).
  • MN Medical Board license required (for PA).
  • Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice preferred (for APRN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of services, including well-child care, sports physicals, management of acute and chronic illnesses, and addressing nutritional, developmental, and behavioral concerns.
  • Engage in teaching students within the clinical setting.
