About The Position

We are seeking an advanced practice provider to join our growing section of existing APPs in Austin. The ideal candidate would be interested in hospital encounters including consultations, performing history and physical examinations, post procedure follow-up evaluations with associated progress note charting, and performing procedures. Existing experience performing procedures is beneficial, but not an absolute requirement. Supervised education and training in image-guided procedures is available. Procedure expectations currently include lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound guided fine needle aspirations. Opportunities exist for additional training to perform image guided drainages, biopsies, and catheter placements. The work environment is highly collegial and includes direct radiologist interaction on a daily basis. Our workflow is highly optimized for efficiency and includes radiology assistants/support staff as well as in house IT. We cover a range of facility types including stroke centers and level I trauma centers. Outpatient clinical duties are limited but may include pre procedure or post procedure patient encounters in our existing outpatient interventional radiology clinic. The schedule has proven to be sustainable, and the case mix is rewarding.
