About The Position

Austin Gastro, a member of GI Alliance (GIA), is seeking a dedicated and reliable Physician Assistant to join a well-established general GI physician practice in South Austin. This role offers the opportunity to provide outpatient services under the direct supervision of a physician, focusing on patient care within a dynamic private practice setting supported by GI Alliance's robust business and organizational infrastructure. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no inpatient responsibilities or mandatory call, though optional call is available for additional compensation. The Physician Assistant will be dedicated to one physician and will see both new and follow-up patients.

Requirements

State Licensed Physician Assistant - Required
Strong work ethic, clear communication, professionalism & commitment to continuing education - Required

Nice To Haves

Gastrointestinal experience - Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician
Complete patient histories and physicals
Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
Counsel patient and family on health and disease
Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
Perform other duties as assigned
