About The Position

Intermountain Children’s Health is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate care to children and adolescents. Our Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology program offers specialized services for patients from infancy through young adulthood, addressing reproductive health, developmental anomalies, and complex gynecologic conditions in a supportive, patient- and family-centered environment. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology team. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient/consultative gynecologic care to pediatric and adolescent patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication with young patients and their families, and sensitivity to the unique developmental, psychosocial, and ethical considerations involved in this specialty. Scheduled shifts will primarily be during office hours Monday-Friday. You will also participate in manageable home call, answering pages and doing tele-consults as needed after-hours. While rare, in-person evaluation after-hours may occasionally be required on site at our Salt Lake City campus.

Requirements

  • Utah license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Utah State Controlled Substance License
  • Federal DEA Certificate II through V
  • PALS and BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Nice To Haves

  • Prior clinical experience in pediatric & adolescent gynecology, women's health, or pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive gynecologic histories, physical examinations, and age-appropriate assessments for pediatric and adolescent patients
  • Diagnose and manage a range of conditions, including menstrual disorders, vulvovaginal concerns, congenital anomalies, precocious or delayed puberty, and other reproductive health needs
  • Provide contraceptive counseling, STI screening/treatment, and preventive reproductive health education
  • Perform or assist with in-office procedures as appropriate to scope of practice and credentialing
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on relevant labs and imaging studies
  • Collaborate with physicians on complex cases requiring surgical or multidisciplinary intervention
  • Coordinate care with pediatricians/primary care, dermatology, endocrinology, psychology/psychiatry, and other specialists as needed
  • Provide trauma-informed, confidential, and developmentally sensitive counseling for patients and families
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Participate in patient education, community outreach, and program development initiatives
  • Stay current with evidence-based guidelines in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
