Advanced Practice Provider, PA or NP - Austin, TX
About The Position
Austin Gastro, a member of GI Alliance (GIA), is seeking a dedicated and reliable Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established general GI physician in South Austin. This role involves providing outpatient services under the direct supervision of a physician. The practice has locations in South Austin, Dripping Springs, and Kyle. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, seeing approximately 12 patients per day. There are no inpatient responsibilities, and call is optional for additional compensation. The provider will be dedicated to one physician and will see both new and follow-up patients.
Requirements
- State Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Required
- Strong work ethic, clear communication, professionalism & commitment to continuing education - Required
Nice To Haves
- Gastrointestinal experience - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician
- Complete patient histories and physicals
- Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
- Counsel patient and family on health and disease
- Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
