About The Position

Austin Gastro, a member of GI Alliance (GIA), is seeking a dedicated and reliable Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established general GI physician practice in South Austin, with satellite locations in Dripping Springs and Kyle. This role offers the opportunity to provide outpatient services under the direct supervision of a physician, focusing on both new and follow-up patients. The practice is supported by GI Alliance, a leading physician-led network that provides robust business and organizational support, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering superior, individualized patient care in a successful private practice setting.

Requirements

State Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Required
Strong work ethic, clear communication, professionalism & commitment to continuing education - Required

Nice To Haves

Gastrointestinal experience - Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician
See approximately 6 patients in the morning and 6 patients in the afternoon
See both new patients and follow-up patients
Complete patient histories and physicals
Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
Counsel patient and family on health and disease
Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
Perform other duties as assigned
