About The Position
Our client, a well-established, multi-site outpatient oncology and hematology practice serving patients across Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join their care team at the Columbia, MD location. This role provides comprehensive outpatient care to oncology and hematology patients in a collaborative, physician-led practice.
Requirements
- Active NP or PA license in the state of Maryland (or eligible to obtain)
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Nice To Haves
- Prior oncology or hematology experience preferred, but strong candidates from adjacent specialties are encouraged to apply
- ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including comprehensive history and physical exams
- Manage symptom control, side-effect management, and supportive care for patients undergoing active treatment
- Collaborate with supervising physicians on treatment planning and care coordination
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory results
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
