About The Position

MercyOne Waterloo OB/GYN is a well-established, patient-centered women's health practice dedicated to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care throughout all stages of life. The APP will join a collaborative team of experienced OB/GYN physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and support personnel committed to delivering high-quality care to women across Northeast Iowa. This is a full-time outpatient position where the APP will join a growing and supportive women's health team, work alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians, APPs and Midwives, and see an established patient panel with a strong referral base. The clinic is modern and located on either the MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center campus or the Cedar Falls OB/GYN clinic on Bluebell Road. The practice utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current Iowa licensure or ability to obtain
• Board certification required
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork

Nice To Haves

• Women's Health, Family Practice, or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women's healthcare services including gynecology (annual wellness examinations, preventive care and health screenings, contraceptive counseling and management, evaluation and treatment of common gynecologic conditions, STI screening and treatment, management of abnormal pap results and follow-up care).
• Provide comprehensive women's healthcare services including obstetrics (routine prenatal visits, postpartum follow-up care, patient education and counseling, care coordination with OB physicians and specialists, monitoring low-risk pregnancies under established protocols).
• Perform procedures such as pelvic examinations, pap smears, endometrial biopsies, IUD insertion and removal, and other office-based procedures consistent with training and experience.
• Care for a patient population including adolescent gynecology, reproductive-age women, prenatal patients, postpartum patients, and menopausal and post-menopausal women.
