Comprehensive Pain Consultants of the Carolinas | Asheville, NC - A PartnerCare Affiliated Practice Comprehensive Pain Consultants (CPC), a PartnerCare affiliated company, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing, well-established practice in Asheville, NC. Our practice is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered interventional pain management care. We focus on safety, education, and individualized treatment plans while providing minimally invasive alternatives that help patients reduce pain and improve their quality of life. About Comprehensive Pain Consultants of the Carolinas (CPC) Comprehensive Pain Consultants of the Carolinas (CPC) was founded in 2009, and until 2017, was only providing outpatient contracted services in hospitals. In 2017, CPC opened its first freestanding clinic in Marion, NC. Today, CPC is the largest interventional pain management group in Western North Carolina, with three freestanding clinics featuring procedure rooms and six freestanding feeder clinics staffed by a midlevel provider. Across its freestanding clinic and hospital footprint, CPC’s primary patient services include diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions, including neck and back pain, headaches and migraines, fibromyalgia, cancer pain, diabetic and joint pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, sciatica, and complex regional pain syndrome. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current AANP or NCCPA certification (as applicable)
  • Active and unrestricted Georgia license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Passion for patient-centered care and collaborative practice

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (AANP Certification)
  • Maintains current and unrestricted state license with a DEA with Schedule II
  • Experienced preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • CPR certification for Health Care Providers
  • ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop safe, balanced, and patient-focused pain management treatment plans
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Work with physicians to diagnose and order appropriate minimally-invasive procedures to address the root cause of patients’ pain, offering alternatives to debilitating surgery or reliance on medications
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records documenting patient care and treatment outcomes
  • Initiate referrals and consultations when patient needs exceed scope of practice or expertise
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and health promotion
  • Counsel patients on medication regimens, potential side effects, and interactions with supplements and over-the-counter medications
  • Review patient documentation to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of care provided
