About The Position
The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Neurology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care in the Neuromuscular Program within the Outpatient Clinic. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital, Specialty Clinics. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- DEA registration required
- Physician Assistant Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- DEA registration required
Nice To Haves
- New graduates welcome to apply, previous APP experience preferred
- Previous Neuroscience experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with Neuromuscular diagnoses
- Practice in an independent, outpatient clinic setting
- Work in a vibrant academic medical center with active involvement in teaching and mentoring
- Participate in case conferences, grand rounds, and interdisciplinary teaching sessions
