About The Position

Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona (AUUA) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join their Urology team. AUUA, powered by Urology Alliance (UA), is part of a leading gastroenterology network that is physician-led. This partnership allows AUUA to deliver superior, individualized patient care by leveraging UA's robust business and organizational support, enabling clinicians to focus on providing top-notch care in a private practice setting. The role involves performing complete evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, establishing diagnoses, developing treatment plans in collaboration with urologists, implementing therapeutic interventions, and providing follow-up care. The provider will also assist in office procedures, perform phone/video consultations, and participate in on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or PA degree from an accredited program
  • Active and valid state medical license
  • DEA/DPS license
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Urology experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete evaluations on patients of all ages
  • Order and interpret lab work, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
  • Establish working diagnoses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with urologists
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and provide appropriate follow-up care
  • Refer to the supervising urologist or specialists as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions
  • Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed
  • Perform and/or assists in-office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evaluations, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trials, and other necessary procedures
  • Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures, and provides appropriate care and follow-up
  • Provides phone/video consultation for patient complaints and prescription refills
  • Performs on-call duties for urology
  • Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources
