About The Position
Southern Urology, powered by Urology Alliance, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join their team in Lafayette, LA. As a member of Urology Alliance, Southern Urology is supported by a leading physician-led urology network, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering superior, individualized patient care. This role involves providing patient services under physician supervision in both hospital and clinic settings, managing patient histories, physicals, diagnoses, and counseling. The position requires a flexible schedule and participation in continuing education to maintain credentialing.
Requirements
- State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Urology experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in both a hospital & clinic setting
- Complete patient histories and physicals
- Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
- Counsel the patient and family on health and disease
- Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
- Work flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
