This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centric care within an inpatient neurosurgery setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive neurological assessments, daily rounding, performing histories and physicals, managing new consults, admissions, and discharges. The provider will collaborate with attending neurosurgeons to develop and implement treatment plans, prepare patients for surgery, manage postoperative care, and facilitate smooth care transitions. Key duties involve ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and documenting all patient care. The position also includes patient and family education, performing procedures alongside residents, and managing a broad range of acute and complex neurological cases in a collaborative environment with neurosurgeons, residents, other advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. The schedule involves three 12-hour shifts per week (5:45 AM – 6:15 PM), with rotating weekends and holidays.
