About The Position

Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to join the Neuro Critical Care Team in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). The APP will work closely with the Neuro ICU attending and team to provide new patient evaluations, follow-up care for inpatients, clinical coordination and management, and critical care procedures. TGH is the area's only level I trauma center and a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center with a 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. The hospital is committed to providing world-class and compassionate health care. The APRN or Physician Assistant provides nursing and medical services, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. They work autonomously and collaboratively to manage clients' health care problems and maintain an annual protocol with a supervising physician as required by state regulations. This role is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with TGH's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida
  • Acute Care or Adult Gerontology board certification required for APRNs
  • Previous experience in hospital inpatient critical care or neuroscience is ideal
  • Experience in Neuro Critical Care strongly preferred
