About The Position

Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to join the Neuro Critical Care Team. Neuro Critical Care (Neuro ICU) APPs will work closely with the Neuro ICU attending and team on a daily basis. Primary responsibilities include providing new patient evaluations, follow up care for inpatients, clinical coordination and management, and critical care procedures. We are actively recruiting for this role to provide advanced care to critically ill patients in our 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country and is a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center. Requirements

  • Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
  • Acute Care or Adult Gerontology board certification required for APRNs.
  • Experience in Neuro Critical Care strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospital inpatient critical care or neuroscience is ideal.
  • Duty hours and training will be variable.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases.
  • Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems.
  • Maintains an annual protocol with supervising physician, as required by state professional regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.
  • Providing new patient evaluations.

  • Clinical coordination and management.
  • Critical care procedures.
