About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN or PA that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. This individual will see new and repeat patients, for needs including but not limited to, physical exams, discussion of post op care, and monitoring of patient lines. May provide general medical treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, hospital, Urgent Care, LTC, or Clinic) in collaboration with physician(s) for APP’s where dictated. If the APP will be practicing in the hospital setting, the delineation of privileges will also dictate the scope of practice.

Requirements

• Graduate-level education appropriate for an APRN or PA.
• Authorized to practice and prescribe as an APRN or PA.
• Ability to perform physical exams.
• Ability to discuss post-operative care.
• Ability to monitor patient lines.
• Ability to provide general medical treatment in collaboration with physicians.
• Understanding of delineation of privileges if practicing in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
