About The Position

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Adult Inpatient Cardiac Surgery floor service at UH Cleveland Medical Center. Join our dedicated Physicians and APPs as they provide a team-based collaborative approach to patient care. Responsible for the management of a wide variety of post op cardiac surgery patients, as well as heart and lung transplants. The schedule is 12 hr. day shift, weekends, and holidays. Nurse Practitioner must be Acute Care. New grads welcome to apply! A Brief Overview The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a Nurse Practitioner as specified by the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Current APRN License (Required)
