About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist to work swing shift and help meet the growing demand of our hospitalist program at Franciscan Health Crown Point. This is a high performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience with inpatient care and Internal Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members to ensure delivery of the highest quality of patient care. The role involves a traditional PRN schedule with an average inpatient volume of 16-20 patients per day. The provider will be responsible for call from the floor and emergency department during their shift, with no call responsibility after hours. The average number of admissions per shift is 5-6. Experience with central line placement and intubation procedures is preferred. The role involves a limited ICU setting, with all admissions requiring Pulmonary/Critical Care Consult. Crown Point has 233 operating beds, including 16 ICU and 22 PCU beds (38 critical care beds), and offers strong collegial support from specialists.

Requirements

  • One to two years of experience with inpatient care and Internal Medicine.
  • Master's Degree Required
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) – Required
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification – Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association – Required

Nice To Haves

  • Central line placement and intubation procedures experience preferred.
