About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider for our Heart & Vascular department. This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours per week, typically on the First Shift. The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) provides care and treatment to patients under the guidance of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibilities include patient assessment, initiating and evaluating diagnostic testing, documenting physical findings, and formulating treatment plans and prognoses based on the patient’s medical condition. The APRN obtains health histories, performs physical examinations, identifies problems, establishes goals, and formulates comprehensive plans of care for patients, while also teaching preventive health measures. The role functions as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration between various disciplines and agencies as necessary. The position requires demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every interaction with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing with National Nurse Practitioner Certification in appropriate specialty area
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence (if eligible)
  • Licensed as an RN in the state where work is being performed
  • Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician to practice as a nurse practitioner
  • Medical staff privileges as an allied health professional
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge as a Nurse Practitioner in area of expertise
  • 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
