Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) for NPs; Master's degree for PAs.
• Valid and unrestricted NP or PA state license.
• Ability to perform GI-focused physical assessments and interpret liver function tests, imaging, and biopsy results.
• High-level empathy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams for new and returning GI patients.
• Manage and treat common GI disorders.
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests like lab panels, imaging, and stool studies.
• Educate patients, obtain consent, and review medication instructions before/after procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies.
• Write and renew prescriptions, manage biologic therapies, and coordinate intravenous (IV) infusion therapies.
