Nemours Children’s Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our General Surgery team in Wilmington, DE. This APP will function independently and collaboratively to provide general surgery and trauma care for patients from 0 through 21 years of age. This Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for communicating with families and coordinating care in both the hospital and outpatient setting. Additional responsibilities include participation in trauma resuscitation in addition to surgical and trauma consultations throughout the hospital. Coverage expectations include a combination of overnight, weekend and day shifts. Interested candidates should possess the ability to prioritize work, be self-directed, and work well independently and within an interprofessional team. Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Interested applicants should possess the ability to function at a high level in an interprofessional team environment as well as an independent provider. We are the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in Delaware. Our team has access to state-of-the-art technology including robotic surgery, advanced laparoscopic techniques and ECMO.
