About The Position
Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Join our innovative Mobile Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program and bring essential behavioral health and substance use disorder services directly to underserved communities throughout Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Suffolk. Requirements
- Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives
- Compassionate, adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to serving vulnerable and underserved communities
Responsibilities
- Conduct substance use disorder assessments and withdrawal evaluations
- Administer and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Suboxone® and Vivitrol®
- Provide post-treatment monitoring and ongoing patient support
- Collaborate closely with an experienced therapist and off-site physician partner
- Opportunity to help develop and grow an innovative mobile care model
