About The Position

The Physician Assistant (PA) in Primary Care delivers comprehensive patient-centered care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians and the healthcare team. This role supports patient safety, access, and outcomes through preventive care, education, and evidence-based practice, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Clinical experience gained through completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program; new graduates with relevant clinical rotations may be considered.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active Physician Assistant license in the State of Ohio, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., DMSc, Ph.D., or Ed.D.).
• Experience in a primary care or family practice setting.
• Specialty certification relevant to area of practice.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
