Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to adult patients living with HIV
  • Deliver care within a medical setting, supporting patients navigating chronic illness, trauma, stigma, and life transitions
  • Partner daily with an interdisciplinary care team to support whole person treatment planning
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of behavioral health services within the Ryan White Program
  • Adapt your clinical approach as the program evolves, bringing flexibility, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset
  • Build longitudinal therapeutic relationships that directly impact retention in care and quality of life
  • Provides expert evidence-based, top-of-scope care in their clinical practice
  • Acts as part of a specialty team, collaborating with other clinicians as appropriate
  • Provides health education to patients
  • Maintains accurate, timely, and thorough documentation
  • Ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
  • Supports development of best practices and protocols in specialty
  • Serves on committees and workgroups to enhance patient care
  • Provides education to learners in the clinical space
  • Mentors new team members
  • Contributes to clinical quality improvement work
  • Participates in professional governance through the APP Council
