About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join the Primary Care team at an outpatient practice. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The practitioner provides medical services to individuals, families, and groups, emphasizing health promotion and the management of acute and chronic diseases. The role augments physicians’ ability to provide patient care and works collaboratively with multiple internal medicine providers in the care of the primary care providers’ patient panel.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
For Physician Assistant candidates: a master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
For Nurse Practitioner candidates: licensure as a nurse and approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

Provide medical services to individuals, families, and/or groups.
Emphasize health promotion and acute and chronic disease management.
Augment a physician’s ability to provide medical services to patients.
Collect and document data.
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations.
Provide direct patient care services.
Collaborate with multiple internal medicine providers in caring for the primary care providers’ patient panel.
