About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join the Primary Care team at its outpatient practice in Brookhaven. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The APP will provide medical services to individuals, families, and groups, emphasizing health promotion and the management of acute and chronic diseases. The role augments physicians’ ability to provide patient care and works collaboratively with multiple internal medicine providers in caring for their primary care patient panels.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
For Physician Assistants: a master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
For Nurse Practitioners: licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

Provide medical services to individuals, families, and groups.
Emphasize health promotion and acute and chronic disease management.
Augment physicians’ ability to provide medical services to patients.
Collect and document data.
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations.
Provide direct patient care services.
Collaborate with multiple internal medicine providers in caring for primary care patient panels.
