About The Position

DT Trak is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide outpatient primary care services at Pine Ridge Indian Health Service Hospital in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. This federal healthcare facility serves the Oglala Lakota Nation and provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community while gaining valuable experience in rural and tribal healthcare.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Current national certification as FNP or PA-C
  • Active DEA registration with Schedule II prescribing authority
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Eligible for Medicare Part B enrollment
  • Minimum of 20 CME/CEU hours annually within the past three years
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain required credentials
  • Professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate
  • Three professional references, including one supervisor
  • Current immunization records
  • Federal credentialing and background clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient primary care services
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform preventive health screenings and wellness visits
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention
  • Perform women's health services within scope and privileges
  • Manage minor urgent care procedures including laceration repair and splinting
  • Coordinate referrals and specialty care follow-up
  • Stabilize emergency patients and coordinate transfers when necessary
  • Participate in community outreach, school-based clinics, and mobile health services
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
