About The Position

This role provides technical support in compounding, medication history, and nuclear pharmacy. The technician will assist patients with benefits, prior authorizations, and Patient Assistance Programs. They will also manage inventory and drug shortages for medications, act as a liaison between the pharmacy, providers, and external retail partners, and monitor compliance with state and federal pharmacy standards, including USP guidelines.

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Maryland Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
1 year of sterile compounding experience

Responsibilities

Deliver technical support in compounding, medication history, and nuclear pharmacy.

Orchestrate inventory and drug shortage management for all bulk and repackaged medications.
Act as a liaison between the pharmacy, providers, and external retail partners.
Monitor and enforce compliance with state and federal pharmacy standards, including USP guidelines.
